We had the great honor of flying around the town hall in Iława, and I would like to share a brief history of this impressive building.

The Town Hall in Iława is an imposing neobaroque structure built between 1910 and 1912 during the tenure of Mayor Karl Friedrich Giese. Located at 13 Niepodległości Street, it was constructed on the grounds of the old city moat. The construction costs, including land purchase, exceeded 290,000 marks.

This grand town hall, adorned with monumental stairs and architectural details, was severely damaged during World War II, then rebuilt and used as a market hall. After a major renovation in 1995, it now serves as the seat of the mayor and the City Council.
Listed as a protected monument on November 19, 1994, the town hall impresses with its elegant neobaroque elements, including a tower with a terrace and a clock face. It’s a place full of historical charm that is worth visiting!
